A Ruderman Family Old Fashioned Christmas (Card 2010)

Heaven knows you can only see the standard old family photo (even the one in matching sweaters-HA!),  year after year before your eyes start to roll back in their head...

O.k. maybe not.. Those who know me well, know that I adore a trip to the mailbox at Christmas and there isn't much I adore more than finding a note or a card from family and friends both near and afar (especially ones with a recent photo)..tada.. I'm set for the year!

However, with all that said, we thought our family and friends might need a laugh, so we've decided to shake things up a bit and hopefully leave you with a belly full of laughter this year..

Here is how we did it!

First, we found this old photo of a family room at Christmas.. (yes, it's real!)

Then we needed to look the part... so "squeal!" we got to use my new green screen.  We photographed each one of us separately.

Once the photos were taken, I used a program called Adobe Photoshop to turn each one of our photos to black and white, separate from the green background and drop us into the old photo!

Next, I added a few finishing touches like an old television and a box for Lucky...

Here is the finished photo..
(Fingers crossed that you think this looks like it was
really photographed sometime during the 1950's.)

At the very least, I hope you get a good laugh!

From my family to yours...
We hope you have yourself
an old fashioned Christmas
filled with every little thing that makes
your heart happy!
